The Santa Maria del Poppolo in Piazza di Poppolo

Yesterday we made our trip to Castel Sant'Angelo and then walked over to Piazza di Poppolo for some amazing views of the Piazza and Rome.  We went into all the churches on the Piazza and inside the Santa Maria was unbelievable flowing marble statues as high as the ceiling and some very famous frescos by Caravaggio such as the Crucifixion of St. Peter and Conversion on the Way to Damascus.  It was amazing.
